Delete your account

Option 1 — In-app (recommended)

1. Open the Imperial Market app on your phone.
2. Go to Profile → Privacy & Security.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm with your password.
5. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

Option 2 — By email

If you no longer have access to the app, send an email to privacy@imperialmarket.ro with the following:

• Subject: “Imperial Market account deletion request”
• The name and phone number you registered the account with
• The email address you registered the account with

We will verify your identity (we may contact you for confirmation) and delete your account within 30 days at most, as required by GDPR. We typically complete requests within 5 business days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we will delete:

• Your email address and phone number
• Your name and password
• Your virtual loyalty card
• Your push notification token
• Your app preferences and settings
• Your support conversations

What is retained

After you delete your account, your fiscal receipts are de-identified — your name, phone number and virtual card number are removed and they are unlinked from your profile, so they can no longer be associated with you or appear in any interface. We keep these de-identified receipts for up to 10 years for accounting and statistical purposes.

Separately, as a retailer we are required by Romanian law (Law no. 82/1991 on accounting and OUG 28/1999 on fiscal cash registers) to retain the legally-mandated fiscal records in our accounting system. That legal obligation is independent of your app account.

Anonymous technical/diagnostic records (e.g. app version, device model) may also be kept, but are no longer linked to you.
